The role

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Wardrobe department as a Part Time Laundry Attendant on a casual basis, allocated between hours per fortnight. Shifts will be anywhere between 5am-9pm (Monday - Sunday) so availability during these times is essential with Tuesday-Thursday being specifically required. 

Key requirements include:

  • Collect and sort garments and linen; inspect for damage, wash, dry, fold and press.
  • Operate and maintain domestic and commercial washers, dryers, garment pressers, and garment and linen finishing equipment following care label instructions.
  • Processing of hotel guest laundry and dry-cleaning and using the computer to apply charges as appropriate.
  • Report unusual incidents, complaints, missing or damaged items immediately, ensuring staff and patron security are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that customers enjoy a positive experience through provision of an exemplary standard of service relations.

About you

You'll bring the following:

  • A passion for customer service
  • Experience working in a laundry or dry cleaning environment would be desirable but not essential
  • Reliability and a trustworthy attitude
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure when required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Due to the physical demands of this role, a good level of physical fitness would be beneficial
