The Opportunity
Our IP team is seeking a trademark specialist to join our team based in Melbourne or Sydney.
HSF Kramer's market leading IP team works with some of Australia's biggest brands, and we are looking for an enthusiastic lawyer to work with our team to support clients in all things brand related, including:
- Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution;
- Strategic trade mark portfolio advice;
- Rebranding and clearance advice;
- Drafting and negotiating consents and co-existence agreements;
- Advising on intellectual property aspects of due diligence; and
- Providing support on trademark and domain name disputes.
To be successful in this role, you will be an admitted Lawyer in Australia or New Zealand, and have:
- 1+ years of demonstrable experience in trademark prosecution;
- An strong academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset;
- A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive IP team;
- An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously; and
- Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team;

Our IP team is a tight-knit group who boast a wealth of experience, with members who have been collaborating closely and effectively for over a decade.
Our trade mark specialists advise clients on all areas of trademark portfolio management to help protect our client's valuable brands and associated rights. We manage Australian and global portfolios for many of Australia's most well-known brands and work alongside our clients in a strategic role helping to protect high-value IP as well as enabling our clients to make the most of their IP assets through licensing and other commercial agreements.
