Role Overview

The
Agent Developer
is a new breed of operator — part systems architect, part product thinker, part problem-solver. You will design, build, and deploy AI-driven agents using our internal toolchain, LLM frameworks, and workflow orchestration systems. These agents simplify and automate complex processes across planning, curation, activation, insights, optimisation, and reporting.

This role blends engineering fundamentals with AI-era creativity. It is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, thinks in systems, and can turn ambiguous problems into elegant, automated solutions. You will contribute directly to the advancement of Syntria, ensuring our agents deliver seamless interaction, operational efficiency, and measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate intelligent agents using LLM-based and no-code/low-code tooling.
• Develop and refine agent logic that incorporates natural-language processing, structured workflows, and multi-step automation.
• Translate complex business processes into efficient, reliable automated systems using APIs, triggers, LLM functions, and data pipelines.
• Maintain and optimise integrations with internal systems, external data sources, and platform APIs.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and diagnose agent behaviour using first-principles reasoning.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Curation, Ops, Engineering, and the Performance Desk to integrate agents into the broader Syntria ecosystem.
• Monitor agent performance and apply iterative improvements to enhance reliability, speed, and output quality.
• Champion an AI-first operations culture by identifying automation opportunities across the organisation.

Qualifications

Candidates must have one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in
  Software Engineering
  ,
  Computer Science
  ,
  Computer Engineering
  ,
  Information Systems
  , or a related technical field; or
• Equivalent hands-on programming or engineering experience (minimum
  3–5+ years
  ) demonstrating strong software fundamentals.

This requirement is essential — the role requires someone capable of engineering-level reasoning, even when working with low-code tooling.

Core Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in engineering, operations, strategy, AI development, or product-related roles.
• Strong understanding of APIs, automation workflows, LLMs, system triggers, and modern software architecture.
• Practical experience in debugging, optimisation, and designing resilient systems.
• Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous problem statements into structured logic and automated workflows.
• Clear and structured communicator with experience working across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work independently and own problems end-to-end.

Preferred Experience (Highly Valuable)

AI, NLP & Machine Learning

• Experience designing or developing conversational agents, LLM-based systems, or NLP-driven workflows.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, or similar languages (even if the role is low-code-first).
• Exposure to ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or HuggingFace.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, semantic search, and agent orchestration patterns.

Ad Tech & Programmatic Media

• Understanding of digital media buying, DSPs, SSPs, RTB auctions, PMP/PD deals, and audience targeting.
• Experience with platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk, Meta Ads Manager, YouTube Ads, Xandr, or Amazon DSP.
• Awareness of high-attention media (CTV, streaming, digital audio) and why it matters for outcomes.
• Familiarity with measurement frameworks and performance metrics (VCR, CPCV, CPA, ROAS).

Technical & Product Craft

• Experience in fast-paced or startup-like environments.
• Comfort collaborating across product, engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive UX best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, workflow tools, or system integrations is a plus.
