The Role
Responsible for managing and editing the City of Salisbury's digital communication platforms, including websites, intranet, eDMs, digital screen networks, streaming services, and Google accounts. Leads and supports staff across the Communications team and wider organisation in the development, implementation, and review of digital content. Continuously reviews and optimises digital platforms to ensure a high-quality user experience and sustained engagement growth.

Key Responsibility

  • Manage the City of Salisbury's websites and intranet, including managing, mapping and editing content.
  • Advise, train and regularly engage with staff and digital channel users within the organisation and collaborate with them to develop content across digital channels
  • Develop and imbed processes and templates to support the efficient implementation of quality digital content.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with website and intranet vendors to ensure continual optimisation and improvement of websites and the intranet, including managing contracts and budgets.
  • Manage other digital communications platforms and tools, including asset database, EDMs, digital screen network, streaming services and Google, and associated contracts and licenses.
  • Research and make recommendations on new and emerging digital trends which can improve digital communications across the organisation.
  • Work with the Community Experience team to continuously improve customer experience across digital channels and system integration, including websites, eDMs and the customer relationship management system.

Skill & Competencies

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, digital media or marketing and / or relevant, proven experience in a similar role.
  • A high level of writing, editing and proof editing skills and an eye for detail.
  • Proven experience editing and publishing content on a web authoring and content management system.
  • Understanding of UX/ CX, SEO, SEM and digital analytics and HTML.
  • Proven experience using event and email marketing platforms, such as EventBrite and Campaign Monitor.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
