Media and Communications Advisor
to help shape the way we share our story and connect with the community, industry and our own people.
This is your chance to make an impact by crafting compelling messages, producing engaging content and supporting projects that are shaping South Australia's future.
No two days are the same. You will contribute to high-impact projects that drive our state's growth, working alongside passionate professionals in a collaborative, high-performing team that values creativity, precision, teamwork and purpose.
This role is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension.
Key responsibilities:
- Craft compelling content across channels including press releases, media statements, social media, video briefs and more.
- Deliver engaging internal communications that keep staff informed and inspired.
- Prepare speeches and talking points for senior executives and government representatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure data accuracy and message alignment.
- Maintain and enhance internal communication platforms, including the agency's intranet.
- Build and nurture media relationships to drive positive coverage and creative publicity.
- Support the delivery of strategic communication initiatives across the agency.
About you:
You're a detailed-oriented communication specialist who enjoys working in a dynamic team environment and is motivated to contribute to positive community outcomes.
You will bring:
- Exceptional attention to detail across writing and editing.
- Proven experience in communications, public relations and/or journalism.
- Advanced storytelling skills with a flair for creativity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team while managing multiple priorities.
