How to Apply
- Willingness and ability to complete further education in Mental Health or relevant qualification e.g., Certificate IV Mental Health; Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) qualification at Charles Sturt University or an equivalent clinical qualification negotiated and approved by the Mental Health Service.
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence based practice, informed by the factors that have impacted on the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.
- Demonstrated case management or care coordination experience delivering health or social services to Aboriginal communities.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver health or social services to Aboriginal communities.
- Ability to undertake health/social needs assessment to inform the delivery of care and referral/liaison with other Government and non-Government service providers including Aboriginal specific services.
- Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy. Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
