Osborne Richardson are delighted to bring another fantastic, Queensland State Government role to the market in Brisbane. We are seeking a Stores and Facilities Officer for our client in Southern Brisbane.

This role presents several great opportunities. The first of these is a fantastic work location, in Coopers Plains, where you will join a truly positive and supportive team. Second up, although the initial role offered will only run until late November, there will be a concurrent recruitment process to fill the role permanently during this time. Being the successful candidate for this contract role will undoubtedly place you in pole position to secure the role on an ongoing and permanent basis.

The role itself will focus predominantly on goods in and goods out (packages, mail, gas bottles, samples, etc). The facility is an extremely busy one where deliveries and collections are almost constant from day start to day end. Your time will, therefore, be largely consumed managing this side of the business to ensure the operational side can run as smoothly as possible. 

The facilities aspect of this role will be an administrative function for the most part, seeing you assisting the facilities and maintenance managers to lodge, schedule and keep track of any repair or upgrade works required. You may also be tasked with some minor facility works needed to maintain effective workflow in the business. 

In terms of the candidate we are seeking for this role, it is very straightforward in our eyes, so we won't be too complicated in our below requirements:

  1. Prior experience in managing goods in and goods out in a busy facility is essential.
  2. Fantastic attention to detail, including purchase orders, delivery instructions and equipment ledgers is essential.
  3. A strong and positive work ethic.
  4. A high degree of physical fitness.
  5. Demonstrated ability to use IT systems for goods in and out.
