What you will do
As Manager, Business Support Services, you will lead a team that provides essential business, financial and administrative support across Loddon region prisons. You will also make sure financial operations are accurate, efficient and aligned with departmental policies.
You will:
- Supervise, manage and guide staff to deliver quality finance, stores, administration and business support services.
- Plan and prioritise workloads and support staff with ongoing training and development.
- Monitor and analyse budgets through regular reporting, forecasting and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure procurement and expenditure meet departmental regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare reports, briefs and advice that help senior managers make informed, evidence-based decisions.
About you
A tertiary qualification in a related field is desirable. You should have proven experience leading multifunctional teams, ideally within a government or large organisational environment.
You should also have:
- Strong business and financial management skills, with an eye for accuracy and compliance.
- The ability to think strategically and plan for long-term outcomes.
- Confidence in leading people and promoting an inclusive, respectful workplace.
- Sound communication and negotiation skills to build effective relationships and manage sensitive issues.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering tangible business outcomes.
