A position is now available for a Leading Hand Tyre Fitter to join the team. We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person with solid, long-term tyre fitting experience to lead our small team.

The position is/includes:

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday (if local) or 9:5 roster (if DIDO – 3 hours' drive from Perth).
  • Training and career progression.
  • Supportive team and leadership.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the Tyre Fitting team.
  • Allocate work to the team and oversee progress.
  • Repair, replace and fit vehicle tyres.
  • Perform seasonal tyre changeovers.
  • Sell car, motorbike, and general vehicle tyres.
  • Perform tyre diagnostics (e.g. checking tyre condition, pressure and tread depth).
  • Check and adjust wheel balance, alignment, and rotation.
  • Assist customers in choosing products that meet their requirements.
  • Prepare quotes and invoices.
  • Ensure work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order.

About you:

  • Must possess 1 – 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to lead a small team.
  • Good problem-solving skills, an eye for detail and ability to work to precision.
  • Be able to work effectively individually and as a team player.
  • Good time keeping and job recording skills.
  • An enthusiastic, positive and patient person who takes pride in their work and team results.
  • A full Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass PEM and DAS.
  • Ability to procure National Police Clearance.

Advantageous:

  • Experience in Heavy Duty Road Transport manufacturing (trucks and trailers).
  • Experience with Kenworth (or other North American), Volvo trucks, Cummins engines.
  • HR License (Highly regarded but not essential).
  • Hold a current LF (forklift) license or willing and able to obtain one.
