As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in machining, setting up, and operating mills and lathes. You will be responsible for producing high-quality parts according to specifications, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute machining tasks by interpreting work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans.
- Operate and program mills and lathes to machine parts accurately to specifications.
- Set up and adjust machines, monitoring feed and speed to ensure efficient operation and high-quality output.
- Detect and correct equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining to maintain product quality.
- Communicate effectively with management, production control, and quality teams to resolve machining issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health standards and safety requirements.
What You'll Bring:
- A trade qualification in machining or tooling.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of the use of precision measuring instruments and their application.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing interpretation and geometric tolerance.
- A valid driver's licence.
- A valid forklift licence is desirable.
