With 160 hectares of ponds and two hatcheries over four locations across Australia, our facilities are in Innisfail, Cardwell and Ingham in North Queensland and Exmouth in Western Australia.

What you'll be doing

  • Sort, grade, trim, wash and weighing of prawns
  • Loading, unloading, moving, packing of inventory including frozen & fresh prawns
  • Processing raw prawn material
  • Preparing packing material including cartons & boxes
  • Printing Labels
  • Stacking pallets
  • Data collection & recording data
  • Waste & rubbish removal
  • Ice Bin preparation
  • Harvest truck driving
  • Cleaning & maintenance of equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Assisting with other general production tasks as required
  • Following Workplace Health & Safety & HACCP procedures

What we're looking for

  • No experience is necessary as full training will be provided
  • High Standards of hygiene (jewellery & facial piercings will need to be removed before the start of each shift)
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time & maintain concentration on a production line
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (English)
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced team environment
  • Able to commit to flexible work hours, sometimes on short notice
  • Own transport to/from site
  • Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to following food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Strongly committed to Occupational Health and Safety and Biosecurity principles and practices

On-site training and inductions to start late November with production to commence in early December 2025 for approximately 9-10 days

Seafarms is looking for Casual Processing & Harvest Workers for our Christmas production season to join our team at Cardwell. Your role will be to participate in operations within the sorting and grading rooms, packing room, freezer, ice bins, and loading dock of the processing plant or helping the harvest team driving our freshly harvested prawns to our processing plant.. This is a casual role with on-site training and inductions to start late November with production to commence in early December 2025 for approximately 9-10 days.
