As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you'll take a leading role in delivering and shaping high-quality, evidence-informed therapy for children and young people with diverse communication, social, and developmental needs.

About Ashton's Place & ACE

Ashton's Place Limited is a charitable foundation that supports autistic children aged between 3 and 6 years old. The Autism Connect Early (ACE) Programme in 5 early childhood centres, which provide early childhood support for children and their families.  The programme aims to promote skill development and meaningful participation in the early childhood setting using naturalistic supports.   We aim to meet children where they are at; offer individualised regulation supports; build social connection and relationships; and support them to achieve their individualised goals.

About your role

  • Offer assessment and therapy to support communication, with a strong emphasis on multimodal communication support, use of AAC, functional communication, feeding support and participation in meaningful contexts.
  • Work collaboratively with families, educators, and other allied health professionals to build supportive and inclusive environments.
  • Provide guidance and clinical support to teams working within the ACE Programme.
  • Mentor and guide early-career therapists and therapy assistants.
  • Contribute to service development, program innovation, and professional learning within our team.
  • Uphold a neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based philosophy in all aspects of practice.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, ideally with neurodivergent children and young people.
  • Advanced skills or strong interest in relationship-based approaches and multi-modal communication and AAC.
  • Compassionate communicator who values connection, play, and co-regulation.
  • Committed to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.
  • Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • The right to live and work in Australia long term with no restrictions.
