About the role:
Design Learning that Inspires, Empowers and Transforms
Bring your creativity and passion for learning to Unitywater, where you'll design experiences that build skills, confidence, and capability across our organisation. As a Learning & Development Advisor, Learning Designer, you'll craft innovative learning solutions that shape how our people grow, using data insights, digital tools and human connection to make every learning moment count.
Working closely with leaders and subject matter experts, you'll translate capability needs into engaging learning programs that deliver real business impact. This is your chance to combine instructional design expertise, learning management system know-how, and a love for continuous improvement, all while supporting a purpose-driven organisation that values development, inclusion and sustainability.
What You'll Do
- Partner with leaders to design, deliver and evaluate learning that supports technical, safety and professional growth.
- Manage and enhance Unitywater's Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring seamless learner experiences.
- Create digital and blended learning programs using contemporary instructional design approaches and tools.
- Use learning analytics and data insights to evaluate impact and continuously improve outcomes.
- Coordinate vendors, budgets and resources to deliver effective, scalable learning solutions.
- Stay ahead of learning trends, integrating new technologies and approaches to keep our learning future-focused.

Essential skills for success:
- A passion for creating impactful, human-centred learning that drives real capability growth.
- Experience designing and delivering engaging learning programs — digital, blended, or face-to-face.
- Strong instructional design and e-learning development expertise, with a keen eye for modern learning trends. Ideally experience with Articulate 360.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and HRIS platforms to support seamless learning experiences,
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, practical learning solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills — you collaborate, consult and connect with ease.
It's a bonus if you have:
- Experience managing learning projects end-to-end — from scoping to delivery and evaluation.
- A curious mindset with a drive for innovation, continuous improvement, and trying new tools or approaches.
- A collaborative style that helps teams and learners succeed together.
