About the Role:

Are you looking for a flexible role that fits around your family commitments or other responsibilities? MTC is seeking a casual Intelligence Analyst to join our team at the Melbourne Immigration Detention Centre. This position offers approximately two shifts per week with flexible start and finish times, perfect for parents or anyone seeking to top up their income.

With experience in intelligence analysis and a strong understanding of security protocols and legislation, you'll apply your critical thinking and communication skills to complex challenges. This role suits someone who thrives in dynamic settings, works well in teams, and is committed to upholding care, respect, and dignity in all aspects of their work.

  • Must have availability across all 7 days of the week
  • Approximately 2 shifts per week
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Based at Melbourne Immigration Detention Centre
In your new role, you will:
  • Analyse and assess intelligence data to identify patterns and inform strategy
  • Deliver timely and accurate intelligence reports to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address emerging security threats
  • Liaise with external stakeholders
  • Contribute to operational planning and incident prevention
  • Uphold MTC's values by promoting safety, respect, and cultural sensitivity
To be successful, you will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in intelligence, security, or risk analysis
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and protocols
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work under pressure both in a team and individually
  • High level of discretion and ethical integrity
  • Ability to gain and retain all police/ National Security Clearances
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Ability to pass any required health assessments
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Proof of double vaccination against Covid-19 with a vaccine recognised in Australia.
