This opportunity is with one of our fast growing entities, Vision Surveys. Vision Surveys (QLD) has been operating in Queensland for over a decade, with the three Directors having a combined local presence of over 50 years. They provide comprehensive Mining, Engineering, or Cadastral Land Surveying and Town Planning Consulting.

About the Role

Vision Surveys is seeking a Full Time Mining Surveyor - FIFO to join our team based at our Brisbane office. This position will play a key role in delivering high quality surveying services across a range of mining projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys, site measurements, and data collection, including UAV operations.
  • Prepare accurate survey plans, spatial data outputs, and detailed reports.
  • Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, digital levels, and UAVs.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, site managers, and internal teams to support project delivery.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation and records with high accuracy.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Degree or Diploma in Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Surveyor or in a similar surveying role.
  • Strong technical proficiency with surveying instruments, UAVs, and relevant software.
  • Sound understanding of land surveying standards, processes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organisational capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Current open driver's licence.
  • Holds current UAV licence.
