What You'll Do
- Support patients through their cancer journey - from diagnosis to survivorship or palliative care.
- Coordinate care pathways and referrals, reducing barriers to treatment.
- Provide culturally informed education and empower patients to make informed decisions.
- Mentor colleagues and champion cultural safety across Icon Cancer Centres.
- Contribute to projects that improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
What We're Looking For
- Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's health priorities.
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and a Bachelor of Nursing.
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience, 3 years in oncology nursing - desirable.
- Strong communication, leadership, and care coordination skills.
- A genuine commitment to culturally safe, patient-centred care.
This is an Identified position:Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.
