Business Intelligence Analyst / Consultant – Power BI & Azure - 6 Months Contract

Our client is a healthcare group operating across multiple locations in Australia. The business is investing heavily in data and analytics to support smarter operational and strategic decisions, with a clear focus on scale, network optimisation, and long-term service delivery improvement.

About the role

Reporting into a senior data leader, this role sits within a small, specialist analytics team and works closely with operational leaders and area managers. You will design and deliver geospatial Power BI solutions that enable location-based insights and self-service decision-making.

  • 6 Months contract
  • Negotiable and competitive daily rate ($700 - $1000 range)

Duties / Key responsibilities

  • Design and build Power BI dashboards with advanced mapping and geospatial insights
  • Integrate internal network data with external geographic and demographic datasets
  • Develop drive-time and catchment analysis to support location decisions
  • Model and integrate data from Azure sources, including Azure Synapse
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into BI solutions

Skills and experience

  • Strong Power BI experience, particularly mapping and spatial visualisations
  • Solid background in Business Intelligence and data modelling
  • Experience working within an Azure analytics environment
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Ability to build intuitive, self-service dashboards for non-technical users
  • Experience integrating external datasets with internal business data
