About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fit-Out Project Engineer with Tier 1 or 2 Building experience to join our team on the Logan Hospital Stage 2.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities
• Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports
• Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager
• Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects
• Contribute to improvements to existing designs
• Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders
• Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions
• Assign work and assist with reviews
• Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment
• Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting
• Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors
• Utilize effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management

What we are looking for:

• Fit-out experience in a Site or Project Engineering role with a Tier 1 or 2 contractor
• Bachlor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
• Significant demonstrated experience in a Site or Project Engineering role
• Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities
• Understanding of the Project Design, Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plans
• Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements
