Our client, an industry transport leader is looking to appoint a Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Business Partner to support the team.

This is a great opportunity for a Safety Advisor/Safety Lead to step up into a true partnering role, supporting the National Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager in driving forward safety performance and supporting operational teams across Australia.

Initially a 6 month contract, starting ASAP, the role has the potential to become permanent and is a great opportunity to be part of a business committed to creating workplaces where health, safety and wellbeing are embedded in everything they do.

Based in Melbourne, the business has multiple sites and offices allowing you to choose a location that best suits you.  There will be some domestic travel on occasion to warehouse and distribution sites across Australia as you help drive safety initiatives nationally.

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years practical experience in WHS/OHS roles, ideally within transport or similar industries.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and standards governing warehouse and transport operations in Australia including COR and National Heavy Vehicle Regulations.
  • Data analysis skills with the ability to turn insights into actions.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in incident investigation, safety systems and developing risk controls.
  • Commitment to CI and a willingness to embrace new ideas and technologies to enhance safety performance.
  • A collaborative, hands-on approach with a passion for making safety part of everyday operations.
  • Experience with Sharepoint and Noggin is preferred.
