Shutdown Work – Boilermakers & Fitters

Elite Resource is recruiting Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters for upcoming shutdown works at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal and Hay Point. This is a high-compliance site requiring experienced trades ready to work structured swings and meet strict safety protocols.

Roster Options:

  • 10 days on / 5 days off

  • 5 day shifts, 5 night shifts

  • 15 days on / 5 days off

  • 5 day shifts, 5 night shifts, 5 split shifts

  • Mandatory unpaid rest day after every 6 consecutive days worked
  • Shift length: 12 hours

Pay Rates:

$52/hr normal time

$65/hr OT1

$78/hr OT2

Local Candidates highly desired however FIFO is available.

FIFO Entitlements:

  • LAHA: Accommodation, meals, and site transport provided
  • Flights: Client covers airfares

Key Responsibilities:

  • Boilermakers: Structural welding, fabrication, and shutdown maintenance
  • Fitters: Mechanical assembly, equipment servicing, and fault diagnosis
  • Follow all site safety procedures and BMA protocols
  • Work across day, night, and split shifts as rostered
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Trade Certificate – Boilermaker or Fitter
  • White Card
  • BMA Site Induction
  • Working Safely at Heights
  • Coal Board Medical (or full medical assessment)
  • Standard 11

Highly Regarded:

  • Gas Test Atmospheres
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Yellow Card (EWP)
  • HRWL – WP, LF, etc.
