We are looking for a Trades Assistant to join our busy team in Dandenong South. You will be a key member of a small highly skilled team where your initiative and ability to work autonomously will be valued.  There is a wide variety of work and learning opportunities as we are a project-based organisation with many different types of customers.

As a Trades Assistant you will be assisting various trades (mainly boilermakers) in general duties on the factory floor. This will including keeping all work areas clean and tidy, driving a medium rigid truck for pick ups and deliveries and operating our overhead gantry crane and forklift.  You will be ensuring work is completed safely, effectively and to the required standard.

Normal days will be at our production facility in Dandenong South, however, from time to time there is a requirement to attend site works where we conduct works on ships and also on offshore rigs/platforms. 

About You:

We are looking for someone who has a willingness and wants to learn what we do and how we do it in our factory. We need someone who has the initiative to ask when they do not know something. You need to have the ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety.

You will need to hold full working rights in Australia. Desirable: High Risk Work License with Forklift (LF) and Dogman/rigging qualifications are advantageous.
