The practice is a commercial and property practice. The practice uses LEAP as the practice management system. Training will be provided by the Principal, as required.
The work is anticipated to involve:
* Legal research;
* Preparing first draft of documents including leases, business sale agreements, sale of shares agreements, completion checklists, shareholder agreements and other contracts;
* Preparing costs agreements;
* Assistance with safe custody safe and register;
* Drafting letters to return original documents to client;
* Preparation of docusign envelopes;
* Over time, assistance with conveyancing for tasks which have not been fully completed by the legal secretary (who works from home, 2 days a week on a Tuesday and a Thursday);
* The position will share log-in with the legal secretary, and email for paralegal email address, and the paralegal would need to work on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, as the legal secretary usually works on a Tuesday or a Thursday.
* Attendance at the office is required for efficiencies as the legal secretary works from home and cannot do some tasks which require a physical presence.
* Start in mid-February is preferred.
