Join our vibrant team at Foodies Market We're seeking two experienced Fruit & Veg Managers for an immediate start across our NOR stores. As the Fruit & Veg Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of our fresh produce department, ensuring exceptional product quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. This full-time position is a crucial part of our Retail & Consumer Products team, contributing to the success and growth of our thriving business.

Australian permanent residency is required for this position.

What you'll be doing

1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fruit and vegetable department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
2. Managing and leading a team of department associates, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure excellent customer service
3. Analysing sales data and market trends to optimise product assortment, pricing, and inventory levels
4. Implementing effective inventory management strategies to minimise waste and maximise profitability
5. Collaborating with the procurement team to source high-quality, fresh produce from local and regional suppliers
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations
7. Actively contributing to the overall success and growth of the Foodies Market' brand

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role within a fresh produce or grocery retail environment
2. Specific experience in fresh produce retail management is essential for this role
3. Strong knowledge of fruit and vegetable varieties, growing seasons, and industry trends
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
5. Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
6. Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and data analysis
7. Adaptable and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
8. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
9. Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
10. Passion for delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences
