The Role:

The Mildura Base Public Hospital Physiotherapy Department provides services across acute and sub-acute settings.

Grade 1 – The Grade 1 Physiotherapist position will take part in a rotational roster across acute, sub-acute and outpatient services

Grade 2 –

  • To provide comprehensive physiotherapy services to patients within the designated caseload in inpatient services
  • Provide support, supervision and direction to Grade 1 physiotherapists, students and allied health assistants as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA)
  • Years of experience (within the Australian Healthcare system):
  • Grade 1: 1-5 years of acute hospital experience of caseloads such as neurological, orthopaedic, respiratory and surgical conditions
  • Grade 2: Minimum 5 years of acute hospital experience of caseloads such as neurological, orthopaedic, respiratory and surgical condition, ideally HCU/ICU experience also.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an independent adult learner, independently seeking external professional development and guiding clinical supervision to their needs
