About the role

Gubbins Motteram Group Pty Ltd, a leading retailer in the timber and building materials industry, is seeking Timber Yard Assistants FULL-TIME, PART-TIME and CASUAL to cover Monday - Sunday with our team in Moss Vale.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the efficient and organised operation of the timber yard, ensuring customers receive excellent service.

What you'll be doing

  • Receiving, unloading, and storing timber and building materials in the yard
  • Assisting customers with selecting and loading timber and materials
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the timber yard
  • Providing exceptional customer service and answering product-related inquiries
  • Operating forklifts and other machinery as required
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Contributing to the overall smooth running of the timber yard

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a similar retail or trade-based role, preferably within the timber or building materials industry
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide friendly and helpful assistance
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy materials
  • Forklift license or the willingness to obtain one
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
