  • Monday to Sunday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight

Your new role

As a valued member of Rockhampton Regional Council's Community Facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our Central Business District and surrounding areas. In this hands-on position, you will carry out day-to-day cleaning of facilities and open spaces. You will operate a range of equipment including vacuum sweeper cleaning unit, walk behind scrubber, ride on vacuum scrubber, high pressure washers and battery-powered blowers.

This position you will be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekend work and early morning shifts (roster basis).

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

  • C Class Licence and Construction white card
  • A mechanical aptitude with experience operating various cleaning equipment

Application Criteria

  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card), Traffic Management Implementation and minimum C Class Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial cleaning environment or equivalent and good mechanical knowledge and experience in the operation of heavy duty cleaning equipment such as combination vacuum scrubber cleaning unit, small footpath sweepers and high-pressure water cleaners.
  • A strong team player that demonstrates positive attitude and can work independently.
