Job Description
We are currently recruiting a
Program/Project Manager
to join our Operations, People & Safety division. This role can be based in the following locations; Bathurst, Dubbo, Tamworth, Albury, Queanbeyan, Wagga or Griffith.

This role reports to the
Program/Project Director
and plays a critical role in the integration, management, and end-to-end delivery of capital and operational works programs. The Program/Project Manager leads multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects aligned with Essential Energy's Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP), ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and business standards.

The successful candidate will manage complex infrastructure projects, oversee contractor performance, and ensure financial and scheduling targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple programs and project teams to deliver infrastructure works.
  • Oversee project finances, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop technical specifications and manage procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure safe and effective contract and contractor management.
  • Implement and monitor safety, environmental, and risk management plans.
  • Maintain accurate project schedules and conduct variance analysis.
  • Provide timely reporting on project performance, risks, and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with business processes and company standards.

About You
As a Program/Project Manager, you will bring strong leadership, project delivery expertise, and a collaborative approach to managing complex infrastructure programs. You will be confident in contract management, stakeholder engagement, and driving performance across diverse teams.

Mandatory
Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor of Project Management or equivalent experience
  • General Construction Induction Training (White Card)
  • Driver's Licence

Desirable

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications

Experience

  • Experience in transmission/distribution design or construction
  • Contract administration and negotiation
  • Forecasting and risk management
  • Project scheduling and financial management
  • Stakeholder engagement and team leadership
