Main duties

The job responsibilities are to perform full service of motor vehicles and to diagnose, repair, maintain and test motor vehicles. The duties include repairing damaged engines and motor vehicle parts in emergency situations for company vehicles and for external customers that are on-site or off-site. All vehicles must be thoroughly repaired and inspected as per workshop standards for total driver satisfaction. You must always provide quality workmanship and carry out work as cost effectively as possible taking into consideration time and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full mechanical inspection of all vehicles
  • Service and repair petrol fuel systems of vehicles
  • Repair and replace turbo chargers
  • Inspect and service braking systems
  • Repair and replace emission control systems
  • Repair and replace suspension systems and exhaust systems
  • Inspect and service emission control systems
  • Test, service, and charge batteries
  • Inspect and service engines
  • Carry out repairs of car motor engines
  • Repair ignition systems
  • Service and repair electronic spark ignition engine management systems
  • Repair charging systems and starting systems
  • Service and repair electronic drive management systems
  • Service and repair electronic body management systems

Mandatory requirements

Applicant must hold a minimum Diploma level qualification in Automotive Technology (AQF) related course and have sound English and communication skills and more than 1 year work experience in Australia.
