We're looking for guides who reside in: Melbourne, Bendigo, Maryborough, Ballarat

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to lead groups on gold prospecting adventures. The successful candidate will provide engaging commentary, deliver hands-on training with detecting and panning equipment, ensure guest safety, and create an enjoyable, memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day and multi-day guided gold prospecting tours.
  • Deliver clear and engaging instruction on gold detecting, panning, and related techniques.
  • Share knowledge of Australian gold history, geology, and local environments.
  • Ensure guest safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist participants of varying skill levels and provide encouragement and support.
  • Operate and maintain prospecting equipment, including Minelab detectors and panning gear.
  • Provide basic first aid if required (training provided).
  • Represent the business in a professional and friendly manner at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous guiding, teaching, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge in gold prospecting, geology, or metal detecting (advantageous).
  • Light Truck License (Advantageous).
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
  • National Police Check (required or willing to obtain).
