Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Tester
with strong expertise in
Power BI
,
SQL
, and
test automation tools
to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in validating data integrity, ensuring reporting accuracy, and automating testing processes across BI and data platforms. Experience with
Tosca
and
Snowflake
is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test plans and test cases for
    Power BI dashboards
    , reports, and data models.
  • Write and optimize complex
    SQL queries
    to validate data accuracy and transformations across systems.
  • Perform
    data validation
    ,
    ETL testing
    , and
    end-to-end testing
    of BI solutions.
  • Use
    Tosca
    or similar automation tools to automate regression and functional testing.
  • Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Conduct
    performance testing
    and identify bottlenecks in BI reports and data pipelines.
  • Document test results, defects, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Support testing of data integrations with platforms like
    Snowflake
    , ensuring data consistency and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in
    SQL
    for data validation and test scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Power BI
    including DAX, data modeling, and report testing.
  • Experience with
    Tosca
    or other test automation tools.
  • Familiarity with
    Snowflake
    or other cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Understanding of
    ETL processes
    , data pipelines, and BI architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with
    CI/CD tools
    and test integration in DevOps pipelines.
  • Knowledge of
    data governance
    ,
    security
    , and
    compliance
    in BI environments.
  • Exposure to
    cloud platforms
    like Azure or AWS.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
