As a Compliance Advisor at QTC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic objectives by providing expert compliance advice, developing and delivering training, and ensuring our policies and procedures align with evolving regulatory standards.

About You

You are a proactive and experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of financial sector regulations and public sector standards. You thrive in dynamic environments, communicate with clarity, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting the business to meet compliance requirements across laws, regulations, internal policies, market practices, and government standards.
  • Providing compliance guidance on major projects, including the Queensland Government Boost to Buy Scheme and Consulting Services.
  • Assisting with the management of complaints and Right to Information applications.
  • Monitoring legislative changes and advising stakeholders on their impact, including updating internal policies.
  • Implementing education and training initiatives to build awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Reviewing and maintaining policy documents and developing new ones where needed to meet compliance objectives.
  • Overseeing compliance registers within QTC's Governance Risk and Compliance system.
  • Preparing regular compliance reports for the Board and Board Committees.

Your Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, legal, risk management, or related disciplines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time, solve problems, and deliver outcomes aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience in financial services or public sector environments.
