About the role
TWT Property Group Pty Ltd, a leading property development company, is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our growing team. This full-time position is based in our St Leonards, NSW office. As a Project Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our various property development projects, ensuring accurate reporting and financial controls are maintained.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports for property development projects, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and provide timely forecasts and variance analysis
- Liaise with project managers, construction teams, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial information
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for individual projects
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls and processes to mitigate risks
- Provide financial advice and support to project teams, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure consistent financial reporting and compliance across the organisation
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a project accounting or financial reporting role, within the property development or construction industry
- Proficient in the use of financial software, spreadsheets, and project management tools and estate master.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Proven track record in maintaining financial controls and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements
