Horticulture Worker

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Horticulture Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and gardening, as well as a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This is a casual role for day shifts, working as part of a supportive and experienced team where you will undertake a broad range of horticultural and general labouring activities.

Responsibilities:

• Planting, watering, and caring for a variety of plants, flowers, and trees
• Irrigation system maintenance and monitoring
• Mowing, weeding, edging, rubbish and litter removal across parks and gardens
• Pruning, trimming, and shaping plants to maintain their health and appearance
• Applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals as needed
• Operating and maintaining horticultural equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers

Qualifications:

• Chemical Handling Accreditation for safe herbicide and pesticide us
• Trade Certificate or equivalent and/or knowledge and skills applicable to Horticulture and associated works or a related trade certificate
• Demonstrated knowledge of horticulture and park maintenance activities
• Experience operating and maintaining horticultural equipment and tools
• Current driver's licence (manual preferred)
