At NAC we pride ourselves on being compassionate, caring and empathetic while providing quality care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. Staff required for this position are required to have a strong dedication to continuity of care and assisting our participants to reach their long and short term NDIS goals.

Our disability support workers will:

  • Provide support to participants with physical and/or intellectual disabilities

  • Understand and provide appropriate care to participants with low and high care needs who may demonstrate some challenging behaviors.

  • Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community supports, within clearly defined guidelines.

  • Store and maintain confidential documents in a safe, secure and confidential manner

  • Assist clients to meet their NDIS goals.

  • Report incidents and hazards to management as they arise.

  • Assist clients to organize and attend appointments relating to their healthcare needs.

  • Have a strong english proficiency and communication skills.

  • Encourage and support clients to engage in social activities relating to their interests, beliefs and culture.

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Cert III Individual Support (Disability); or equivalent.

Experience:

- Experience is not necessary but highly sought.

Desired Skills:

  • Customer service focused: Committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels - written, phone and face to face.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support other as required and get on within a team.
  • Time management/organization: accomplish objectives effectively within time frames given and carry out administrative duties within client folders in an efficient and timely manner.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $34.44 – $75.67 per hour
