The Opportunity

Based in Darwin, the Waste Coordinator Support assists the Waste Coordinator in the coordination of all waste management activities at our Oil & Gas Client's LNG Plant and Offshore Operations. The focus includes liaising with the Client and site Subcontractors to ensure that all waste services are managed in a safe, professional and cost-effective manner and in accordance with Contract and legislative requirements.

  • Scribe and distribute meeting minutes at Waste Contract Management meetings
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of day-to-day run sheets
  • Support Waste Coordinators in all other ad hoc duties to support the Waste Management Contract
  • Effective administration of all aspects to support the Waste Management Contract
  • Maintain accurate data records & ensure consistent execution of the end-to-end processing
  • Maintain accurate environmental waste tracking records
  • Ongoing waste data record tracking in accordance with contract auditing requirements and in line with GRI-306 reporting requirements

About You

You are an organised and reliable administrator who is comfortable supporting operational teams and managing detailed information. While experience in waste management or transport is an advantage, it's not essential—you bring the capability to learn quickly, follow processes, and keep documentation accurate and up to date.

You're confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and you can maintain clear records, prepare basic reports, and handle routine contract administration tasks. You communicate well with both internal teams and external stakeholders and are comfortable coordinating information, taking meeting minutes, and supporting day-to-day scheduling needs.

You take care with data accuracy, deadlines, and compliance requirements, and you can work steadily in a role that requires attention to detail and consistent follow-through. An interest in sustainability or environmental outcomes is welcomed.

Key Attributes Include

  • Experience in administration or coordination roles in an operational, logistics, industrial or service environment
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
  • Ability to manage competing tasks and maintain organised records
  • Willingness to learn waste management systems and processes
