About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Senior R&D Tax Analyst
to join our North Sydney team. This is a key role that blends technical expertise, client engagement, and strategic thinking.

You'll work closely with innovative businesses, supporting them through the end-to-end R&D Tax Incentive claim process and identifying additional funding opportunities where possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client eligibility for the R&D Tax Incentive through discovery meetings
  • Prepare R&D technical documentation in line with AusIndustry and ATO requirements
  • Analyse financial data to complete ATO R&D Schedules
  • Advise clients on substantiation and compliance requirements
  • Manage AusIndustry application submissions and ongoing communication
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify other grant opportunities and assist with applications where appropriate
  • Support internal teams with R&D insights and guidance
  • Stay current on R&D policy changes, compliance requirements, and portal updates
  • Assist with client reporting, agreements, and invoicing

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience preparing R&D Tax Incentive claims across a range of industries
  • Strong understanding of AusIndustry and ATO expectations
  • Clear, professional writing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts
  • Client-facing experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
  • Team player who collaborates well across functions
  • Bonus: Experience with other grants or funding programs
