About the role:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovation healthcare technologies and seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a hands-on design and development role where you'll contribute to life-changing medical products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life, from initial design through to commercialisation.

  • Design and develop mechanical components for new medical devices.
  • Create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct design analysis, prototyping, and testing to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Support the full product development lifecycle.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges with creativity and precision.
  • Document design processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design practices and methodologies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Opto-mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design (medical device experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing and design for assembly.
  • Ability to work independently within a diverse engineering team.
