Le/la Directeur(trice) mondial(e), Ingénierie de la maintenance et de la fiabilité joue un rôle clé dans la définition de l'excellence opérationnelle et de la durabilité des actifs à long terme chez Alcoa. Ce poste stratégique est responsable de la conception et de la mise en œuvre de programmes globaux de maintenance et de fiabilité couvrant les disciplines mécaniques et électriques, l'exécution des projets d'investissement et les indicateurs de performance. Avec un mandat clair visant à accroître la maturité et à positionner la maintenance et la fiabilité comme un avantage concurrentiel, ce rôle favorise l'alignement et des améliorations mesurables dans toutes les opérations. En collaboration étroite avec les responsables régionaux, les équipes d'ingénierie, les systèmes numériques et les équipes de capital, le/la Directeur(trice) assure une exécution cohérente et encourage une culture d'amélioration continue. Relevant du Vice-président, Gestion des actifs, vous devrez :
- Diriger des initiatives globales visant à améliorer la performance et la fiabilité des actifs dans les opérations d'Alcoa, en positionnant la maintenance comme un avantage stratégique.
- Développer et intégrer des normes d'ingénierie de fiabilité, des processus et des cadres d'amélioration continue pour assurer cohérence et efficacité.
- Mettre en place des systèmes mondiaux de comptabilisation des pertes et des modèles d'utilisation du temps pour identifier et quantifier les inefficacités opérationnelles.
- Fournir des rapports sur le coût total de la maintenance afin de permettre des décisions basées sur les données et soutenir des programmes d'amélioration stratégique.
- Promouvoir le déploiement et l'optimisation des outils numériques tels que eAM, REX et Connected Worker pour améliorer l'exécution sur le terrain et la capture des données.
- Veiller à ce que les normes de préparation opérationnelle soient intégrées aux actifs nouveaux et existants pour soutenir la durabilité à long terme.
- Définir et suivre les indicateurs mondiaux de maintenance et de fiabilité (KPI) pour mesurer la maturité, suivre les tendances et stimuler les améliorations de performance.
- Fournir une supervision technique et commerciale pour les projets d'investissement liés à la maintenance afin d'assurer leur alignement avec les objectifs de fiabilité.
- Orienter les décisions tactiques d'investissement en capital grâce à des analyses basées sur les données et la collaboration.
- Collaborer à travers les régions et les fonctions—incluant ingénierie, opérations, numérique et équipes de capital—tout en respectant les protocoles culturels et les exigences de déplacements mondiaux.

Ce que vous apportez au poste
- Diplôme de premier cycle en génie mécanique, électrique ou dans une discipline connexe est essentiel; des qualifications de deuxième cycle en gestion des actifs, fiabilité ou affaires sont souhaitables.
- Minimum 12 ans d'expérience dans des rôles de leadership en maintenance et fiabilité dans les secteurs des ressources ou de l'industrie lourde, incluant une expérience de direction dans une entreprise multinationale.
- Capacité avérée à développer et intégrer des cadres d'ingénierie de fiabilité, des processus clés et des systèmes de reporting globaux tels que la comptabilisation des pertes et le coût total de la maintenance.

About the role
The Global Director – Maintenance and Reliability plays a pivotal role in shaping Alcoa's operational excellence and long-term asset sustainability. This strategic leadership position is responsible for developing and executing global maintenance and reliability programs that span mechanical and electrical disciplines, capital execution, and performance metrics. With a clear mandate to elevate maturity and position maintenance and reliability as a competitive advantage, the role drives alignment and measurable improvements across all operations. Collaborating closely with regional leaders, engineering, digital systems, and capital teams, the Director ensures consistent execution and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. Success in this role requires navigating diverse cultural contexts, managing complex time zones, and embracing a significant travel component to maintain strong global and local connections.
Reporting to the Vice President, Asset Management, you will:
- Lead global initiatives to improve asset performance and reliability across Alcoa's operations, positioning maintenance as a strategic advantage.
- Develop and embed reliability engineering standards, processes, and continuous improvement frameworks to drive consistency and effectiveness.
- Establish and implement global loss accounting systems and time usage models to identify and quantify operational inefficiencies.
- Deliver total cost of maintenance reporting to enable data-driven decisions and support strategic improvement programs.
- Champion the deployment and optimization of digital tools such as eAM, REX, and Connected Worker to enhance field execution and data capture.
- Ensure operational readiness standards are embedded into both new and existing assets to support long-term sustainability.
- Define and monitor global maintenance and reliability KPIs to measure maturity, track trends, and drive performance improvements.
- Provide technical and commercial oversight for maintenance-related capital projects to ensure alignment with reliability goals.
- Guide tactical capital investment decisions through data-driven analysis and collaboration
- Collaborate across regions and functions—including engineering, operations, digital, and capital teams—while navigating cultural protocols and global travel demands.
- Lead strategic initiatives within the Asset Management Leadership Team to drive enterprise-wide transformation and change.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline is essential; postgraduate qualifications in Asset Management, Reliability, or Business are desirable.
- Minimum 12 years in maintenance and reliability leadership roles within the resource or heavy industry sectors, including experience leading functions in a multinational company.
- Proven ability to develop and embed reliability engineering frameworks, core business processes, and global reporting systems such as loss accounting and total cost of maintenance.
- Strong technical expertise in maintenance systems, digital tools, and operational readiness, with experience integrating strategies into capital projects and asset performance reporting.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and driving strategic outcomes across culturally diverse and geographically dispersed operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and program management skills across mining, refining, and smelting environments.
