SmartCare Diagnostics is expanding across Southeast Queensland, delivering high-quality cardiac and diagnostic services including echocardiography, CTCA, stress testing, sleep studies, and specialist-led outpatient care. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader – Diagnostics to lead our cardiac-focused diagnostic team across multiple SmartCare sites.

This role suits a Registered Nurse (Cardiac), Cardiac Physiologist, or Cardiac Technician who enjoys leadership, thrives in a dynamic service, and is committed to clinical excellence, quality, and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support diagnostic technicians and students across multiple SmartCare locations
  • Oversee day-to-day diagnostics operations including workflow, scheduling, compliance, and service quality
  • Perform and/or oversee a range of cardiac diagnostic tests: ECGs, Holter/BP monitoring, stress testing, stress echocardiography, and CTCA support
  • Provide high-quality analysis and preliminary interpretation of cardiac diagnostic results
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards
  • Conduct audits, stocktakes, and quality assurance activities
  • Drive continuous improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development within the team
  • Collaborate with Cardiologists, Emergency Specialists, and admin teams to optimise service delivery

About You

  • Relevant qualifications: Registered Nurse (Cardiac), Cardiac Physiology, or equivalent cardiac diagnostic training
  • Experience performing and interpreting a range of cardiac diagnostic tests
  • Proven leadership experience in a clinical or diagnostic environment
  • High attention to detail, strong clinical judgement, and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with doctors, patients, and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture
  • Experience in audits, stock/equipment management, and student supervision
