Full-Time Opportunity | Learn a Skilled Trade | Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology

GetCareers is currently recruiting for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to undertake a Cabinet Making Apprenticeship with an established and reputable local business in Malaga. This is a full-time opportunity to earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification – Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology.

About the Role

As a Cabinet Making Apprentice, duties may include:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to prepare for projects.
  • Measure, mark, and cut timber and panels using hand and power tools.
  • Assemble cabinets, drawers, and shelving units to ensure quality and durability.
  • Install hardware such as hinges, locks, and drawer systems, and fit cabinetry on-site.
  • Sand, finish, and polish surfaces to achieve a professional look.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all health and safety guidelines.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
  • Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn a trade
  • Able to work well in a team and follow instructions
  • Committed to completing the apprenticeship while working full time

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Must reside in the Perth Metropolitan Area due to job location
  • Manual Driver's Licence is preferred, but not required
  • Construction White Card required
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Women are strongly encouraged to apply
  • 2nd or 3rd Year Cabinet Making Apprentices are also encouraged to apply

  • If you're a 2nd or 3rd Year Cabinet Making Apprentice: TAFE results and apprenticeship documents
