THE ROLE

The Oral Health/Dental Therapist is responsible for the provision of dental care within the relevant states scope of Practice for Dental Therapists. The position holder will deliver a variety of high quality oral health clinical services to eligible clients, including provide dental health promotion and education programs.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Current registration as a Dental/Oral Health Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency(AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a digital dental environment, including but not limited to electronic oral health records, digital imaging and telehealth systems.
  • Understanding of WHS and Infection Control standards particularly related to Dental Services.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a digital dental environment, including but not limited to electronic oral health records, digital imaging and telehealth systems.
  • Strong commitment to working and engaging respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal communities and organisations, in service delivery.

Preferred applicants will also be required to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a new paid employee Working with Children Check (as required by the Act) prior to appointment with South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation.

Salary will be in accordance with the South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation Enterprise Agreement.
