We are now ready to migrate the management of day-to-day operations from business owner to your role as Operations Manager so our owners can focus on strategy.
Backed by a highly efficient admin team, you'll work alongside our 3 electricians, 3 apprentices, and trade assistant to build the smart systems, processes, and team culture that will allow Unified Solar Solutions to scale seamlessly while maintaining our high standards of quality and customer experience. This is not just dispatch — this is a pivotal role driving the quality, efficiency, and growth of Unified Solar Solutions.
Are you an exceptional tradesman ready for a new challenge? Are you an Operations Manager or a Dispatch Coordinator wanting an opportunity to partner with management to make a true impact on a small business?
You will:
- Oversee, coordinate and schedule all solar and electrical installations from sales handover to completion.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and Clean Energy Council guidelines.
- Implement and refine systems and processes to support business scalability.
- Leverage our software systems (Zoho, ServiceM8) to streamline workflows and support our core values: Quality Work, Quality Relationships, Quality Reputation
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality control measures.
- Schedule resources to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
Liaise with customers, sales, and admin teams to ensure smooth communication and project flow.
Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Resolve operational issues quickly to avoid delays.
Identify areas for operational efficiency and implement improvements.
- Play a key role in building a positive, high-performance team culture
- Work with owners on strategic planning to achieve growth targets.
You are:
- Calm under pressure and highly organised – the "lynchpin" of daily operations
- Experienced in trade services operations, ideally solar, electrical, or construction
- A confident communicator who can engage with customers, team members, and suppliers alike
- Competent with MS Office and familiar with job management software (ServiceM8 experience an advantage)
- A proactive problem-solver who loves improving processes and getting results
