Join the revolution in workforce management.
foundU is Australian-grown and managed, home to 77 passionate people who are committed to accelerating the success of Australian businesses.
We've created a platform that streamlines recruitment, onboarding, rostering, timesheet management, payroll, and reporting for a seamless experience. We're in the business of building things most people haven't thought of yet. The pace is fast, and the work is challenging. We dream big, and we fight hard for customer ease.
We've recently joined the Citation Group, unlocking a broader suite of workplace solutions to offer Australian businesses a more powerful toolkit to support their success.
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive People & Operations Coordinator to help build an engaged, high-performing, and values-driven workplace.
Candidates must be able to manage all core responsibilities including HR administration, payroll coordination, recruitment and onboarding processes, and operations compliance requirements.
Working closely with the People & Operations Lead and the wider Operations team, you'll support all aspects of HR - from recruitment, onboarding, and employee records to HR systems and compliance. You'll also contribute to people initiatives that strengthen engagement, capability, and performance.
As foundU continues to grow within the Citation Group, you'll play a key role in aligning our people practices with group-wide standards and supporting a culture of best practice.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate the employee lifecycle, maintaining accurate data and records, and ensuring compliance across employment, WHS, and policy frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance employee records, HR systems, and documentation to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility.
- Partner with the Employee Success Coordinator to enhance the employee experience through thoughtful onboarding, engagement, learning, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Work closely with the Citation Group People & Culture team to align foundU's HR practices with Group standards, initiatives, and compliance frameworks.
- Contribute to strategic people projects that drive culture, performance, and growth, working closely with the People & Operations Lead and the Citation Group P&C team.
- Build strong relationships across teams, acting as a trusted contact for team members and leaders on people matters.
- Prepare and deliver people metrics and reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on recruitment, training, engagement, and compliance - to assist leadership decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, WHS requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits of HR data and documentation to meet internal and external standards.
- Plan and deliver internal events, recognition programs, and engagement activities.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Manage office-related functions, including facilities, supplies, and vendor relationships.
- Provide professional and confidential project support to the People & Operations Lead, the Chief Operations Officer and the wider Operations team.
Do you have the foundU DNA?
Creating a product that helps so many businesses get pay right for their employees is pretty special and it's not something we take for granted.
Our people come from all walks of life -but the one thing that binds us is a glass-half-full, sleeves rolled up, can-do mentality. At foundU, you'll hear a lot of laughs, a fair share of banter, and the odd noisy debate as we nut out the best ways to adapt to whatever a new workplace law throws at us
You'll bring a mix of strong organisation, people skills, and practical HR know-how. Specifically, you have:
- A bachelor's degree or Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–4 years' experience in an HR coordination, generalist, or similar role
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in HR or operations roles
- Passion for culture, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Solid understanding of HR processes, compliance, and employment law.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HR systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated experience with HRIS systems
- A discreet, professional approach to managing confidential and sensitive information.
- A customer-focused mindset and confidence in managing diverse stakeholders.
You'll get bonus points if you have:
- Experience using our foundU software (as an admin or an employee).
- Experience working within a SaaS tech organisation, or a multi-entity organisation.
- Familiarity with modern awards and Australian employment frameworks.
- Excel skills with exposure to HR data analysis and reporting.
- Experience coordinating cultural, engagement, or learning initiatives.
Why join foundU?

We are passionate about promoting from within. We prioritise the development and growth of our team members through up-skilling, cross-training, and maximising their potential. Diversity is celebrated and we strive to foster a culture of inclusiveness for all members of our team.
Innovation
We've cultivated a collaborative team culture where everyone's voice is heard and valued. We are committed to growth and improvement, embracing feedback and suggestions with an open mind. We always strive to enhance what we do and how we do it.
Collaboration
foundU became part of Citation Group in 2025. Supporting over 12,000 businesses across Australia and New Zealand, our extended team offers workplace compliance solutions spanning HR, employment law, work health and safety, and certification. On top of supporting a payroll platform that Australian businesses can count on, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with our tight-knit community of workplace experts.
Benefits
- An established hybrid work policy.
- A bonus week of annual leave after every 12 months at foundU.
- Monthly 'pocket money' to purchase anything that supports your working life - such as training courses, an office chair or even a team lunch.
- Free barista coffee from the local café while working from the office.
- Dog friendly office.
