AI Product Manager

Are you a Product Manager with Traditional AI experience who enjoys very technical domains? Do you want to work with very talented and dynamic people?You'll add TraditionalAI based features to this globally used cutting-edge mining solution that uses robotics and sophisticated data analytics.
You'll be part of the Global Data Science team and you'll bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, focusing on the implementation and optimization of traditional Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. This role involves understanding business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring the successful deployment and integration of AI solutions—such as rule-based systems, classical machine learning models, and expert systems—to drive business value.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Work with data scientists, AI engineers, and developers to design and implement traditional AI solutions (e.g., decision trees, regression models, clustering algorithms, rule-based automation) that meet business needs.
- Manage AI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform the development of traditional AI models.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of AI models and solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of AI projects, including requirements, design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of AI solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in traditional AI technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutions.
*Required Skills and Experience:*
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, rule-based systems, and expert systems.
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical methods, with experience using tools like Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
- Experience in managing projects, with strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience with global teams is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions.
- A degree in Computer Science.
This is an onsite role with 5 days in the office (Brisbane CBD). It is an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of extensions for the right person or being converted to a permanent employee. Travel is required up to 4 weeks per annum.
