The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Recovery Program Officer to be part of our Major Programs and Regions Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Recovery Program Officer is part of the Emergency Management, Drought and Resilience Team which is responsible for the implementation of a range of policies, agreements and programs to support PIRSA, primary producers and communities to respond to, recover from, and build resilience to adverse events, including natural disasters, biosecurity outbreaks and drought. The Recovery Program Officer will be involved in high pressure situations and have dealings with people in significant distress whilst operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a people-focused person with strong interpersonal skills who can work collaboratively with a diverse team to deliver meaningful outcomes for regional communities.
The primary purpose of the role is to support the delivery of the PIRSA Family and Business (FaB) Support Program which provides critical support to primary producers and regional communities experiencing hardship. This program delivers the FaB Mentor service and supports PIRSA's partnership with the Rural Financial Counselling Service in South Australia. The FaB Mentor contractor team are based across the state to work directly with communities requiring support and to facilitate their access to assistance.
The role is responsible for delivering project management functions for the FaB Support Program, including procurement, contracting, contractor management, and program reporting and evaluation. These responsibilities ensure that delivery arrangements for the current program are effectively established, maintained, and reported on. Proven project management skills, stakeholder engagement, leadership and teamwork capabilities are a requirement of the role.

Special Conditions
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

Remuneration
ASO6 - $98,478 min - $104,165 max per annum, plus superannuation
