Role Purpose

We are currently looking for a full-time Traffic Management Designer (TMD) to join our Queensland team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient planning of roadworks, events, construction activities, and other projects requiring temporary or permanent traffic arrangements. You'll play a key part in delivering compliant, practical, and innovative traffic solutions that support our clients and field operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design high-quality Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) in accordance with applicable standards and legislation.
  • Ensure all designs meet the requirements of relevant authorities, including QGTTM and AGTTM guidelines.
  • Liaise with regional managers, supervisors, and clients to develop tailored and site-specific solutions.
  • Revise and update plans based on site changes or project feedback.
  • Utilise approved systems and software (e.g., RapidPlan) to deliver accurate and timely designs.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and meet client submission requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and uphold safety-first principles in all designs.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Current QLD Traffic Management Designer (TMD) accreditation.
  • Proven experience designing TMPs and TGSs.
  • Proficiency with RapidPlan or equivalent traffic design software.
  • Solid understanding of traffic management protocols, road safety, and compliance standards.
  • Working knowledge of QGTTM and AGTTM.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to teamwork, client service, and professional integrity.
