This isn't just another art role; it's an opportunity to be part of a pioneering team that's reshaping how essential industries train their workforce. You'll be  instrumental in developing assets for immersive, realistic VR simulations that improve safety, efficiency, and expertise across high-stakes environments.

This is an in-person role based at our office in the Perth CBD, where you'll collaborate

directly with our dynamic team.

What you'll do:

  • Create Realtime rendering ready assets alongside a team of experienced artists
  • Adhere to a strict asset development pipeline, using multiple and varying optimization techniques and case specific asset production solutions.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure features hit visual and performance targets.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders and subject-matter-experts, providing clear technical explanations, accurate budgets and timelines.

What you'll bring:

  • At least 3+ years professional Asset Design experience (games, simulation or real-time 3D).
  • Intermediate or above Unreal Engine expertise.
  • Tertiary qualification in 3D Production fields or similar - or equivalent industry
  • experience.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; able to translate complex concepts for nontechnical stakeholders.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Ability to generate animation ready 3D model edge flow
  • At least an intermediate level of asset and project optimization techniques
  • Able to work with complex UV arrangements and material/shader setups (UDIM
  • workflow, Vertex mask painting, breaking colour maps into data sets)
  • VR Development Experience
  • Solid version-control practice with Perforce
  • Experience with Reality Scan or similar life scan products
  • Experience in the trade or mining industry / Mechanical Knowledge
  • Experience with Environment Design and Procedurally Generated Content.

Software Packages (We use a LOT of software, listed are the core programs we work in):

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Substance
  • Painter)
  • Autodesk Maya
  • Unreal Engine 5
  • FL Studio or other DAWs
