About the role:

We are looking for someone with strong values and experience in the disability and parent/carer communities.

The Parenting as Equals project will support parents with disability in the northern regions of Adelaide to improve levels of social isolation and wellbeing for themselves and their children.

This will be achieved by offering a series of peer-led, strength-focused, co-designed workshops to encourage information sharing and social connections.

This is a part time role (0.7FTE), offered until June 2027. Ideally you will be able to start no later than early January 2026. There is some flexibility in the number of hours worked per week, and how those hours are spread across the week.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the co-design of the workshop content and program design.
  • Recruiting parents and caregivers to take part in the project as co-design members and workshop participants.
  • Creating accessible workshops, and preparing accompanying resources, promotional materials etc.
  • Leadership and support of a mostly casual project team
  • Reporting and evaluating outcomes.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced project leader who is strongly aligned with our values of Personhood, Citizenhood, and Capacity Building. You will also have:

  • Experience or understanding of the education sector and/ or the barriers facing parents in the disability community.
  • Curiosity and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a schedule of program outcomes, with note of time and budget boundaries.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills

Lived experience of disability will be highly valued.
