  • Fixed Term, Part-Time (64 hours per fortnight FTE) until February 2027

About the team

Our dedicated team of Stomal Therapy Nurse Consultants, led by a Team Leader, provides specialised nurse-led care to patients with stomas and complex wounds. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, we deliver comprehensive support, from pre- and post-operative education to ongoing management of stoma care. Our senior nurses are highly trained, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of personalised care. About the role

As our Stomal Therapy Nurse Consultant you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing expert care in ostomy and wound management. You'll enjoy the opportunity to work in a stunning, purpose-built facility with world-renowned experts, advanced clinical trials and breakthrough therapies.

A regular day will see you:


• Provide top-tier care to patients with stomas, wounds, and gastrostomy tubes


• Independently manage patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team


• Educate patients and carers, leading educational initiatives for nursing staff


• Drive Innovation by participating in research to shape the future of stomal and wound care


• Advocate for your patients' needs throughout their care journey

About you

You will be someone with fantastic communication and interpersonal skills, who is committed to excellence in patient care and being part of an inclusive, collaborative culture. You'll bring with you:


• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with a postgraduate qualification in Stomal Therapy Nursing


• At least three years of relevant experience, focused on stoma and wound care


• The ability to work autonomously and contribute to the development of colleagues


• An interest in participating in clinical trials and evidence-based practice


• The ability to communicate effectively with patients, consumers and healthcare professionals

Remuneration as per Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement from Clinical Consultant C Grade 5 Year 1 (ZA7) $129,048.40 per annum (full-time equivalent - $54,336.16 prorated for part-time) to Clinical Consultant C Grade 5 Year 2 (ZA8) $132,116.40 per annum (full-time equivalent - $55,627.96 prorated for part-time) dependent on candidate experience.
