 is are looking for a detail-driven 
Inventory & Cost Accountant
with a strong background in manufacturing inventory accounting and 
MYOB AccountRight Server Edition.

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory records, managing cost accounting processes, and ensuring consistency between physical stock, system records, and financial reporting.

You will also be responsible for updating sell prices in MYOB, processing inventory transactions, and acting as a liaison between finance and logistics teams.

Inventory Management & Accounting:

  • Assist Group Accountant with inventory maintenance.
  • Record and reconcile inventory receipts for packaging, components, and finished goods.
  • Spreadsheet manipulation of data.
  • Process inventory receipts using internal coding systems.
  • Receipting inventory components into the general ledger inventory system.
  • Accurately process manufacturing inventory transactions using MYOB and related systems.
  • Oversee Autobuild process for inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) accounting.
  • Coordinate and manage inventory coding for manufacturing receipts.
  • Reconciliation of inventory between general ledger and third-party warehouses.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of third-party logistics (3PL) inventory quantities with MYOB system records.
  • Ongoing liaison with Logistics/Supply Chain Department in relation to inventory movements.
  • Ad-hoc accounting and general requirements at the direction of the CFO.

Packaging & Manufacturing Coordination:

  • Act as the liaison with logistics teams to manage changes in packaging requirements, artwork references and materials.
  • Coordinate updates to packaging or component SKUs across systems and ensure alignment with physical stock.

Systems & Documentation:

  • Assist with the creation and implementation of New Product Forms and system setups for new SKUs.
  • Maintain accurate product master data including costing, supplier information, and packaging requirements.
  • Ensure all inventory-related transactions are aligned with accounting and audit standards.
  • Process marketing sample recharges to appropriate cost centers or departments.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting principles for inventory and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare regular inventory and costing reports for management.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards related to inventory.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics-heavy environments.
  • Proficient in MYOB and familiarity with inventory systems.
  • Strong understanding of inventory processes including receipts, builds, BOMs, and COGS.
  • Experience working with 3PL providers and reconciling external inventory data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to muti-task in a fast-pace entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.

Desirable:

  • Experience with automated inventory build processes (Autobuild).
  • Understanding of packaging and components inventory flows in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with product development or NPD setup processes.
